Our Vision
DTW’s vision is to plant a Bible-preaching, lost-reaching church in every major and growing city of the US.
Our heart and mission is to the United States and we are praying our knees bloody for one last revival in this post-Christian country.
Why plant churches? Why not simply hold evangelism campaigns, conferences, and revival meetings? God has and will use these forms of ministry, but we are convinced that the local church is God’s chief agent for changing the world one soul at a time. The early church spawned in Acts 2 became the source pool of all ministry. You find no New Testament ministry that did not find its seed planted deeply in the soil of the local church under the leadership of qualified elders.
This is how Christianity, the most life-changing movement of history was launched. Of course, Christianity is far more than a movement. Christianity is the gospel truth, but Christ kicked it off it through training, equipping, and sending twelve men. Robert E. Coleman’s classic, The Master Plan of Evangelism, presents this principle beautifully.
The vision is to plant a single church in a growing urban area, and from that church raise up men who will plant other churches in other major cities of the U.S. Each church is to be led by qualified men of God (elders), men who love their wives and children, men who know the Word and can preach the Word, men who share their faith as a way of life, and men who meet the qualifications so clearly outlined in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1. Where the leaders go, so go the people.
Today, DTW provides resources, seminars, and training modules to assist local churches in their pursuit of equipping believers for ministry. By God’s grace DTW leadership will be ready to live, bleed, sweat, and die for its church planting mission in the next few years. DTW is recognizably a baby ministry, growing and learning. Pray for us!
