People always look for righteousness in one of two places: in themselves or in Christ.

But like the poor man who must borrow a tuxedo to get into the wedding, so every human is so spiritually poor that he could never afford his own righteousness to get into the kingdom of heaven. He must borrow it from Jesus Christ.

But here's the difference. Jesus does not lend it out temporarily. He gives it forever!
