If Christ wanted to be a warrior He would have come as a Spartan. If He wanted to be an intellectual He would have come as an Athenian.

If He wanted to be a conquerer He would have come as a Roman. But He wanted to be the sacrifice for the sins of the world, so He came as a Jew, the nation through whom God promises to bless the world (Gen 12:1-3).
