Like Leaves in the Wind
Leaders whose legacies last the longest pass on by ink what they have learned.
Think of all the dead men whose books, letters, and articles still impact lives, long after they've embraced the feet of Christ. My mentor and friend, Jack Hughes once said, "Be careful what you write. Emails, blogs, and letters are like leaves that blow into the wind and you can never recollect them."
Even in our digital age where audio can be reproduced en masse and in thousands of formats, what is written carries an established permanency that audio recordings will never be able to compete with. When you write, pray deeply and think carefully before you put it down. People are more forgiving with verbal communication than written words because it's easier to slip with the tongue than the pen.
