Where's the Rudder?
- noah,
- faith,
- trusting God,
- ark
Did you ever notice that when God gave Noah instructions for building the ark, he never told him to put on a rudder?
Since mankind had been around for the last 1500 years since Adam, they most likely had invented some form of a rudder for controlling a boat, so Noah must have known what a rudder was.
Imagine Noah, "God, this ark...it has no rudder!"
"I know."
"But God, without a rudder I can't control it!"
"That's the point. You're going to have to trust Me."
From a human perspective Noah was left to the mercy of the waves. But Noah had to trust that God would protect it and take it where he wanted.
Sometimes life feels rudderless. When it does, entrust your whole self to God and know that He will only do you good (Rom 8:28).
