Every Thought You Thunk-Rap Version of Philippians 3:7
A holy rap on Paul's statement in Philippians 3:7.
Every thought you thunk
Every race you won
Every heart you sunk
Every song you sung
Every smile you showed
Every tear you shed
Every lap you swam
Every word you said
Every game you lost
Every trash you tossed
Every chocolate you ate
Every tooth you flossed
Every game you played
Every bill you paid
Every splinter you felt
Every building you made
Every breath you breathed
Every sister you teased
It was kind of fun
Though your Daddy wasn’t pleased
Every time you laughed
Every prayer you prayed
Every bite you ate
Every hug you gave
Every dime you earned
Every friend you spurned
Every test you passed
Every fact you learned
Every woman you kissed
Every chance you risked
Every man you loved
Every meeting you missed
Whether good or bad
Whether high or low
Not one deed of your life
Can redeem your soul
When it all adds up
Its dung on the ground
Cause in Christ alone
Will forgiveness be found
Don’t trust your deeds
And races you’ve won
Give up finding your credit
In achievements you’ve done
If you accept His Word
Get on your knees today
Humble your heart
And this you can pray:
“Jesus I’m a sinner
I confess my trash
It’s a bunch of dung
And it never will last
“You paid the price
This I know is true
Cause all my righteousness
It comes from you."
